1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between Signover, operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("Signover", "we", "us"), and you as an individual driver ("Driver", "you") who registers for and uses the Signover platform.

By creating a Signover driver account and accepting these Terms at registration, you agree to be bound by them. Please read them carefully before creating your account.

1.1 Beta Access

Signover is currently in closed beta. Access is invite-code gated and may be withdrawn, paused, or limited at any time during beta. Features, workflows, and availability may change without notice while testing is ongoing.

2. Your Signover Account

2.1 Your Account is Personal to You

Your Signover account is personal to you as an individual. You must not share your login credentials or allow any other person to use your account.

2.2 Linking to Operators

You may be permanently linked to one or more operator accounts, or you may be connected to an operator on a one-off basis via a unique job code provided by that operator. In either case:

  • You remain the sole holder of your Signover account
  • The operator does not gain ownership or control of your account
  • Your account and its associated data remain governed by these Terms regardless of which operator you are working with at any given time
  • You may be connected to different operators for different jobs

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must notify us immediately at [support@signover.app] if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account. You are liable for all activity conducted through your account.

3. Using the Platform

3.1 Your Role

When conducting a vehicle transport job through Signover, you are acting as an agent of the operator who created that job. Your use of the platform in connection with a job must comply with:

  • These Terms
  • The operator's instructions for that job
  • The Signover Acceptable Use Policy

3.2 Accuracy of Records

You are responsible for ensuring that all information you enter into the platform is accurate and complete. This includes:

  • Vehicle details
  • Damage markers and defect notes
  • Photographs of the vehicle at collection and at delivery
  • Collection and delivery addresses

You must not enter false, misleading, or inaccurate information into the platform. You must not record damage or defects that do not exist, and you must not fail to record damage or defects that are visible.

3.3 Countersigner Email Addresses

When collecting a countersigner's email address, you must:

  • Collect the correct email address of the person who is actually present and authorised to sign for the vehicle
  • Inform the countersigner that they will receive an email containing a one-time password and information about what they are agreeing to
  • Not provide an email address on behalf of a countersigner without their knowledge and consent

3.4 Record Locking

Once a countersigner has provided their OTP code, ticked the agreement checkbox, and signed the record, that record is permanently locked. You cannot alter any part of a locked record. You must ensure the record is accurate before presenting it to the countersigner for signature.

3.5 OTP Integrity

You must preserve the integrity of the OTP flow. You must not request, enter, store, reuse, or share OTP codes except for their intended one-time verification purpose with the present countersigner for the current handover stage.

4. Relationship with Operators

Signover facilitates the connection between you and operators for the purposes of vehicle transport jobs. Signover is not a party to any agreement between you and an operator, and is not responsible for:

  • Any terms of engagement between you and an operator
  • Payment or remuneration for your services to an operator
  • Any dispute between you and an operator arising from a job
  • Whether a one-off job code connection implies any employment or contractor relationship

Your relationship with any operator is entirely separate from your relationship with Signover.

5. Acceptable Use

You must use the Signover platform only for its intended purpose of recording vehicle condition at collection and delivery. You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy at all times. In addition to the obligations set out there, you specifically agree that you will not:

  • Create false, misleading, or inaccurate vehicle condition records
  • Obtain countersignatures through deception or by misrepresenting what the countersigner is agreeing to
  • Bypass, replay, or otherwise misuse the one-time password (OTP) verification flow
  • Use your Signover account in connection with any fraudulent or unlawful activity
  • Share your account credentials or allow any other person to conduct jobs under your account

6. Data Protection

Information about how Signover processes your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy at [link]. By creating an account you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

When you conduct jobs on behalf of operators, you may collect personal data from countersigners (their email address). In doing so you are acting on behalf of the operator, who is the Data Controller for that data. You must handle countersigner data in accordance with the operator's instructions and applicable data protection law.

7. Limitation of Liability

Signover's platform is provided to you on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signover's total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total fees (if any) paid by you to Signover in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Signover is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits Signover's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Termination

You may close your Signover account at any time by contacting us at [support@signover.app]. Closure of your account will not affect any job records already created through your account, which remain the property of the relevant operator.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, use the platform unlawfully, or if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email to the address on your account. Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the changes, you should close your account.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
